About the MarketThe Tenino Farmers Market is an open-air market offering organic produce, fruit, flowers, plants, food, jewelry, and other handcrafted arts. We are located in historic Tenino, home of the original wooden money and fifteen minutes from Olympia, Washington State’s capital city. Our mission is to support local sustainable agriculture by connecting the public with local farmers, artisans, and other producers in an economically viable marketplace. Tenino offers unique shopping in historic downtown, family oriented activities such as a sandstone quarry swimming pool and the Yelm-Tenino Trail for your hiking/biking trailhead to adventure. The trailhead is located in the Tenino City Park on Washington Avenue and intersects with the 22-mile Chehalis Western Trail, linking Yelm-Rainier-Lacey-Olympia-Tumwater and Puget Sound. Coming Soon -- a new web site!Thank you!The Tenino Farmers Market held its last market of the 2007 season on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Tenino City Park. In this, our second year, we became a non-profit organization, a member of the Washington State Farmers Market Association, and expanded our season. We believe that our mission to promote and encourage local growers, offer fresh wholesome products at a reasonable cost and bring together the community in a family friendly environment was met. We thank you--our dedicated sponsors, volunteers, vendors, friends and neighbors for your support in turning our vision into reality.
